These tartan trousers are so cute. Vintage and granny chic at its best. I adore the colour of these. I pulled the green from the trousers and added a striped green and white top. Adding a shaggy, dusky pink cardigan gave the outfit more character and kept me warm. Finally, a beanie and Converse to finish, making for a comfortable outfit to pop into town.
Pull colours from one item of clothing and include them in another. This way you can bring clothes together that you may think don’t match normally.
I went to watch an Elton John tribute act at the weekend and it was brilliant! It was the perfect excuse to dress up and I’m so happy with my outfit choice!
This long sleeve t shirt has the best statement collar. Just look at it. It looks incredible over my gorgeous, pink, patterned tank.
As you know, pattern clashes make my heart sing so I teamed this tank with a pair of funky black and white flares! Finished off with gold chains and chunky heeled DM boots.
Have fun with how you dress
A day of shopping in the autumn, but the sun came out, so my legs came out.
A gorgeous tulle skirt for a cute, girly touch, with a grungy band tee tucked in.
I added a beanie (because it is autumn) and little ankle boots.
Mix and match different styles, different textures, different seasonal pieces... it’s good fun and allows you to create different outfits.
School runs can be a mad rush, so it can sometimes mean chuck on something quick and go!
I opted for jeans and oversized t shirt. Red isn’t usually a colour I wear, but I really adore this one, and of course, leopard print is always a win. Tucked into some loose fitting, high waist jeans.
It’s colder mornings now so I added a long, customised, camo jacket for warmth. This one is amazing! And with the t shirt, it’s a pattern clash, which is my absolute fave!
Teamed with my usual big, gold hoop earrings and Converse.
Try colours you wouldn’t normally choose. Red isn’t ever a colour I gravitate to, but I was really surprised at how much I loved this.
Muscle pants are my new favourite thing! These bad boys are so cool. The high waist makes them super flattering and the stripes give the illusion that my legs are longer than they are!
I’ve teamed them with a black cropped tee for a day at home, but I think they’d look equally awesome with a corset or frilly top for a night out. I love the simplicity of the black sandals as they tie in with the T-shirt.
You can make an item like muscle pants and joggers more dressy by teaming them with a fancy top. I think mismatching is creative and stylish.
It was a little fresh outside again when I wore this outfit and I just couldn’t resist this Parrot jumper! I mean, could you? It’s warm, cosy and colourful which I call a win!
Keeping with the animal theme, I paired it with my leopard print flares. Another comfortable but fun outfit.
Omg I’m so in love with this look. Once again it’s simple and comfortable but packs a punch! This oversized t shirt works well as a mini dress, but would look equally awesome with jeans.
I’ve teamed it with my vintage boots and some large vintage earrings which really brings the look together.
Oversized T Shirts make great dresses. They will be a little bit shorter but embrace your pins! If your feeling a little shy, pop a pair of tights on!
This is a perfect outfit for a stroll on a cool, summers day. I love styling a pair of culottes with a tee. It’s a simple, cute look. But with the weather being a bit cheeky, I needed to cover my arms.
This bright green jacket is amazing! It kept me warm but also bought an element of sunny fun to my look! I kept the footwear simple with sliders and popped on big gold hoops and a hair scrunchie!
If your shy about getting your legs out in shorts, culottes are perfect. They are usually longer in length and wide legged. Plus the looseness of them keeps you cooler on hot days.
I wore this look when I went out for coffee with my husband. I wanted to dress nice for a date, but as always, comfortable!
This tartan dress is fab. It can be dressed in different ways depending on my mood. Without the jacket and converse it was giving me metal/ rock vibes. But you know I love a pop of 80’s, so I added a fun print bomber jacket! Mixing prints is one of my favourite things to do! I also have a leopard print head scarf on and floral converse! This look felt cute but practical.
Don’t be shy. Mixing prints is fun! I love how they clash but somehow work! Try a few different prints and see what works for you! There are so many.. tartan, leopard, floral, gingham; the list is endless!!
This look gives me all the happy feels. Once again, layering a pretty dress with a basic tee to make a casual but cute look.
I think adding pink accessories helps finish the look.. the socks, the head scarf.. boom!
I would wear this look for every day tasks.. walking the dog, going for coffee, the school run!
Socks and sandals are not just for Grandad! I think a bright sock and a dark sandal look amazing together! Pattern socks, thrilly socks, fishnet socks.. go wild!!!
Oh my goodness. I felt incredible in this dress. I never wear anything short but I loved getting my pins out! I went to an evening do and felt this was the perfect outfit!
It was comfortable and I felt classy and confident! Win!!! Teamed with my vintage cowboy boots and my rainbow clutch bag!
I love mixing old and new! If you find the right items they compliment one another really well!
Check out this skirt! Isn’t it the dream! A fab vintage find on Vinted. The colours and stripes are everything!
I popped on a modern graphic tee that has a retro vibe and gorgeous, bold colours that match the skirts, and boom.. the perfect outfit!
I think it can be scary to tuck in. It shows off your figure more, and it’s old school. But old school is so cool! And showing off your curves is beautiful and fun! It totally changes up a look! Finding matching colours in items also helps bring a look together!
There’s nothing I love more than a layer. The more the better! Here I’ve popped a gorgeous vintage night dress over a tee. It lifts the look of my top half. However the night dress is very see through so I added a bottom layer, this insanely gorgeous maxi skirt!
To finish, an ace floral blazer which has all the same colours as the skirt, yet the patterns clash, which is another style I love! Finished with a wide brown belt and layered necklaces!
Never be afraid to clash patterns. Some of my favourite looks are built on this. Spots, stripes, floral, leopard print, check, tartan.. go for it! The creativity of this really gives a bold, fun look! Blazers are such a statement piece. Find yourself one and it’ll elevate any outfit.
You’ll definitely see me coming in this outfit. This outfit screams fun to me. It’s also a little out of my comfort zone due to its fitted nature, but sometimes it’s good to push the boundaries!
I’m wearing an 80’s night dress as a day dress. To make it more of a day look, I added a roll neck, long sleeve top under it. I wanted my legs covered but I still wanted a fun element so I wore patterned tights, then added socks and popped on my DM’s. I completed the look with my favourite hat, and boom.. look finished.
Sometimes it’s good to play around with a different style. I usually go for a loose, over sized look but I felt really good showing off my curves in this fitted dress.
I don’t go out very often, so when I get the chance to have a cheeky cocktail with my girls, I’m gonna dress up! This pink top has been in my cupboard for years and whenever she comes out I feel super cute! The colour and style of it are feminine and chic! I’ve teamed it with a puffy, black, tulle underskirt for a dramatic look.
I’m not one for heels so I opted for a cute, vintage ankle boot, and ankle socks with a thrill!
Finally the accessories! A gold chain belt to give added character and a rainbow clutch. It doesn’t match but I adore the clash with the rest of the outfit!
Go big or go home! It’s not often we get the opportunity to dress up these days so why not go for it 100% when you can! Although with that in mind, don’t save your best items for a special occasion, every day is special, so put on something that makes you feel fabulous and own it!
Check out this cute blouse! I love it! It can be done up but I’m wearing it open as a jacket, which in my opinion looks super classy! Worn over a vintage black slip. Who says slips have to be hidden under dresses? Turn your underwear into outerwear!
Finally, high waisted jeans! For me, high waist means confidence. I adore the silhouette a high waisted jean gives, especially when tucked in!
Finding a blouse like this one means you can create several different looks with one piece of clothing. It can be worn undone, half buttoned, fully buttoned, tucked in, tied.. so many different looks! Don’t be afraid to wear underwear as outerwear... it looks so cute and sexy! I love putting a slip or a silk nightdress over a T-shirt also!
As always, the key to this look is comfort! I’m wearing a vintage nightdress as daywear because it is just the cutest little number and it needs to be seen. And it’s pink!!
To make it look less like a nightdress, I’ve layered my oversized basket ball tee on top! It then gives the illusion that I’m wearing a rara skirt and I adore it!! I have kept accessories simple because sometimes the clothes speak for themselves!
Mix and match items that you may not usually put together. Night and day items. Feminine and grungey items. That way your sure to get an original, fun look!
Here I am, channelling my inner Drew Barrymore back in the 90’s, when she was all about pretty dresses, oversized jackets and boots!!
I’ve also got my stick in this photo. It took me a while to feel confident using a stick, so we jazzed one up so it was just as stylish as me! Haha! I adore this dress. It feels very feminine without being OTT. This look is finished off with a bumbag, worn across my shoulder, and a choker!
Firstly, never be shy about using an aid that helps improve your day to day life! Sometimes finding a celebrity’s style that you love and recreating it for yourself can really help ignite some creativity. Bumbags are brilliant. I find them so comfortable and you can find so many funky ones around.
This is a great transitional look when the seasons begin to change. Autumn is upon us but summer is still in the air! I want to be bright and colourful like summer, but I need that extra warmth in the morning while doing the school run.
This shirt is actually a blazer, but I decided to button it up and tuck it in to jeans. This gives it a completely different look.
I’ve added a vintage belt, and of course my gold hoop earrings.
See if you can style certain items in your wardrobe differently. For example, a blazer as a top, a boob tube dress as a maxi skirt. This way you get more looks with less items.
I love being casual, but I’ve added a little upgrade. Dungarees are so comfortable and can be dressed up and down. For this look I’ve added an incredible vintage shirt. The pattern is so funky! I’ve done the top button up and added my favourite chunky necklace under the collar, so you just get a glimpse of sparkle. Teamed with a bold lip and gorgeous vintage earrings.
Play around with the look. This one can be completely changed just by undoing a couple of buttons, rolling a sleeve, even trying different shoes eg, boots, trainers.
Hands up who loves Autumn! That would me. I’m so excited to get on bored with the warm tones that Autumn brings. These dungarees are the perfect start. They are cotton, loose and the best colour. I’ve teamed them with a long sleeve t shirt for a casual look, but I think they’d look great with a shirt or blouse for a smarter vibe.
Accessorised with a hat, one of my favourite items to wear when there’s a chill in the air, and a stack of gold necklaces.
Experiment with colours. Different seasons bring different shades. Give them a try and see how they feel.
I wore this look to go to a beer garden. It was perfect, as not only did I feel relaxed, but the element of quirkiness made me enjoy myself more!
Size up if your wanting to try sallopettes. You want to feel comfortable.
The stretchy, fitted material can make it tricky to wear items under it, so you’ll appreciate having that extra room.
Now that autumns in the air I love layering. This vintage jumpsuit is really cute and would be great in the spring, summer months, but I’ve popped a long sleeve t shirt under it and a bomber over the top! This way it can be worn all year round. It’s a great, every day look, from walking the dog to taking the kids to school. Accessorised with stripey socks, gold hoops and a beanie.
Layer! Outfits can be all year round, not just seasonal if you learn how to dress them!
Fresh and summery without being too bright. I adore styling a jumpsuit because it can be worn in so many ways. This can be worn in 3 different ways.. 3 looks, 1 outfit!
This one is so beautiful. Wide legged and covered in sunflowers. From this look you can see I’ve popped on a simple, but cute, cropped back t shirt over the jumpsuit. The tee can be popped under the jumpsuit, or taken away completely. Teamed with my favourite gold jewellery and a scrunchie in my hair for added fun!
Jumpsuits are such statement pieces. Find one that suits you and see what ways you can style it. They are versatile and you can create so many different looks. They can be dressed down for a casual day look or dressed up for a night out with the girls.
Who says swimming costumes are only for swimming? I think they make a great layering piece in the summer whilst looking stylish.
I’ve teamed this beautiful vintage costume with high-waisted jeans and a chunky belt, then finished my look with a headscarf and statement earrings. Feeling comfortable and sassy all in one look!
When styling an outfit like this, make sure you find a swimming costume that you feel comfortable and supported in! Jeans work well with everything, so get creative; there are so many fun styles, patterns and colours to choose from!
I wore this outfit on a day date with my husband. This is a great look if you want to be comfortable and relaxed, but still look like you’ve made an effort.
An oversized sports tee works in so many ways. I’ve left it untucked here but tucking it in changes the look and your body’s silhouette. I’ve teamed it with wide leg, floral trousers to add a feminine touch. Finished with gold hoops and 3 gold necklaces. I love layering necklaces!
Sports t shirts like this one aren’t usually made from cotton. So make sure your happy with the fabric and your body can breathe! For maximum comfort in trousers, I wear elasticated waists or size up.
Here I am on my summer holiday! Yep.. summer.. and all it’s done is rain! But I’ve not let that dampen my style! Check out this incredible 80’s rain coat. It’s so vivid and stylish! It’s also light weight which is perfect! Teamed with a vintage umbrella! Now, I didn’t know umbrellas were exciting but when I found this one, I was buzzing!! It’s such a beautiful colour.
On this holiday there has been a lot of walking, so for this outfit I opted for some funky adidas leggings that I found on Vinted because once again, comfort is key! I chucked on my converse to finish the look.
I think getting a good raincoat is important. When the weather is awful you can still look fab whilst being sensible. Plus it’s the top layer of your outfit so you want it to look cool! So it can be worn all year round, get a light weight one, but make sure there is plenty of room for layering so you can wrap up warm underneath on those colder days.
If you're looking for a good pair of leggings I cannot recommend adidas ones enough. These ones stay in place all day, so there’s no tugging at the waist or sorting out wrinkly knees!
Here I am in a playsuit and denim jacket! This playsuit is incredible. Once again, a vintage item! It can be worn pulled in or loose at that waist as it has a drawstring! I like wearing it pulled in as it defines my waist. Worn with an over sized denim jacket which is also vintage.
For me, over sized is better! I not only love the way it looks, but it’s a great piece for layering when it starts to get colder. Finished my usual converse, pink socks and fun earrings!
Get yourself a denim jacket! There are so many colours and styles out there. I’ve got a couple but this one is my favourite. Lighter suits my colouring better I think, so I feel more confident in it and I wear it a lot!! Plus it goes with everything! Playsuits are an easy, throw on outfit. One item and boom you're done!
