When it’s hot outside but I want to look put together and classy, wide leg trousers, like these Joseph ones, and a slightly skimpy top are the perfect combo. Knowing I’d be on my feet between shows, I paired this ensemble with my favourite Castaner espadrilles, which add another texture alongside the denim Revival top.

A tonal outfit, where each item is a different shade of the same colour, is super chic. Have a look to see what colours you have a lot of, and see what outfits you can pull together - don’t be afraid of bolder colours, like reds, either!

I wore this outfit to the Paul Costelloe S/S24 show and loved it! This Dhruv Kapoor shirt adds drama to any outfit with its enormous sleeves, while the Mulberry skirt really grounds it.
To accessorise, I wore my most comfortable Jimmy Choos with Glassworks socks underneath, and added an orange Ganni bag that reminds me of a strawberry - for summer!

Adding socks to strappy heels is a very easy way to make an outfit look more ‘fashion’. Experiment with different colours and patterns. For a slightly more casual look, try unbuttoning the shirt at the top - it’s small things that have the biggest impact’

I simply can’t get enough of green! This vibrant shade really stands out, and, paired with the orange, is bang on trend. While the outfit incorporates two bright colours, it’s a pretty simple look overall.
Don’t shy away from colour - just opt for simple shapes and basics.

I usually go for a higher heel with a wide leg trouser, just to elongate the leg and get the most from the trouser shape!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: leopard is a neutral. Whether or not you agree, this outfit keeps it simple with the addition of white jeans and taupe sandals - keeping within the tones of the top.
For a pop of colour, I’ve added an orange bag.

I love this look! Jorts - jean shorts - are a huge 2023 trend, but are typically styled very casually - so pairing them with a blazer smartens them up enough for the office, or an evening out. Keeping the rest of the outfit black really allows the jorts to do the talking.
Style advice
As these jorts are a longer style that aren’t so tight on the leg, I’ve paired them with a slightly oversized blazer to balance out the proportions. If you go for a tighter pair, try a more fitted blazer to avoid looking top heavy.

I’ve never had more compliments on a night out than when I wore this outfit. In person, the light really catches the gems on this amazing Free People top, and makes it really stand out.
As it’s such an eye-catching number I paired it with a nude leotard underneath, so as not to detract attention, as well as white jeans and beige cowboy boots that are similar to the colour of the leotard.

With such an eye-catching top, you don’t have to work hard on the rest of the outfit - keep it simple and let the standout piece do the talking. Try switching the boots for white converse if you’re planning a night of dancing.

This pared-back look screams minimalist with a twist. If you’re top-heavy like me, pairing wide-leg trousers with a tight vest give you a flattering silhouette.
For added interest, the gold chain brings out the metal in the matching belt and buckles on the shoes, to really tie everything together. Simple and easy!

While I’m convinced leopard print is a neutral, it can be considered a statement print. To keep it neutral, pick out colours you find in the print, such as this taupe/beige, to complete the outfit in true minimalist style.

Shirts are a big deal in 2023. They’re the perfect item for all occasions, and are super wearable for all body shapes.
Wearing one over a vest is super versatile - have it slung over your shoulders for some protection from the sun, wear it unbuttoned for a slightly more modest look, then button it up as it gets colder in the evenings.

Try to pair a couple of pieces that have a similar colour or tone, like the vest and shoes, for a pulled-together look. Go wild with the shirt!
