This look is fun for spring and autumn. The dress is a really nice piece on its own but elevated with the addition of the pink layering. The layering of the sweater vest also goes well with the tiered dress, it gives the dress another layer to it.
I wore this dress on a day out with a friend for the day, we did some thrift shopping and had lunch. This is a fun, casual, girly daytime outfit!
Pink and green together are an amazing colour combination! Layering with complimentary colours are a fabulous way to elevate an outfit.
This look is a super simple and easy look to throw together. The skirt is what the look revolves around, it's the colour and fun texture that stands out.
Mixing textures is a good way to make a simple look more interesting. Pairing satin with a close-knit turtle neck gives a bit more interest to a two-tone look.
I've worn this turtle neck a thousand times and is so easy to restyle into different looks. Having pieces that work with lots of different items are the best items in your wardrobe.
I would say that because this look is dark and moody, it's great for autumn or winter. This would be an easy outfit to restyle for the warmer months without the tights, swap the Converse for sandals and swap the turtle neck for a simple white t-shirt.
This look is so good for a cosy night out in autumn and winter but still keeps it colourful. All the colours don't match each other, but they're all pastels so they look good together, and not too vibrant for a chilly autumn or winter evening.
You could swap out the jumper for a turtle neck top, or a vest top if you think a jumper would be too warm.
This jumper I tucked into my bra to make it a cropped jumper. I'm not tall, I'm 5'4", so by making my jumper from a normal length into a crop it gives the illusion that my legs are longer than they are.
The dress is quite the statement and works well when the rest of the outfit is pretty muted. This look would easily work for brunch/lunch/early evening drinks in the summer
Linen is such a good material, it is durable and also so lightweight and cool when it's hot outside!
I wore my hair up in space buns as it was a super hot day, but this look would look really nice with your hair down too.

This look makes me feel like I'm about to go on tour and manage a band. It feels grungy, unique and stylish but with minimal effort. The green mules are the bold piece in this look, pulling in green from the trousers, and keeping everything else dark.
I love statement sunglasses, I think they make any outfit more fun and these round sunnies make me feel like I'm in the Beetles.
Vintage trousers can be difficult to find as a plus-size girly, I find that usually, the sizes come up small. These trousers are from St Michael's (old M&S), and they fit so well and are true to size.
This is a fun, colourful wedding guest look that is an easy one to put together. The red dress is the star of the show and all other pieces are there to make the dress sing.
I wore two gold necklaces and a chunky gold ring on each hand to bring all the accessories together. Then wore a black bag and shoes to add some juxtaposition to the look without taking away from the red dress.
Some people think that as a plus-size human, you should avoid things like shift dresses as they aren't 'flattering', and 'make you look bigger'. In my opinion that isn't true. This dress is a great example of not hugging my figure but it has lovely lines and doesn't make me look bigger.
This is an easy autumn or winter outfit for casual dinners or drinks. This vintage suede orange shirt is the main attraction of this outfit. Throwing it over what would otherwise be a block colour outfit makes the whole look more interesting.
When you have a super fun, unusual piece I love to make it the MVP of an outfit. This shirt is so fun that putting it over quite a plain outfit makes the outfit suddenly so much more interesting and lets that one piece do all the talking. This shirt would work over shorts or a dress in summer too!
This is a perfect look for summer day drinks, brunch or out in the city and can easily be worn into the evening too. It's a fitted look without being too clingy on a hot summer's day. This pink and orange skirt is the star of the show with all the other colours in the look centred around it.
The vintage sunglasses have a similar two-tone pink/orange colour, and the red brings them together without clashing. The cross-body bag and shoes break up all the cute colours and give it some contract.
A cross-body bag is such a handy bag to have. They are great to keep all your valuables in front of you and safe when you're out and about.
This was a super fun look for an outdoor festival, moody but with hits of lightness. I love styling this dress with a lighter colour top underneath, the slip has amazing mesh details over the front, so having a lighter colour underneath really makes it pop.
I paired the slip with:
A bucket hat, which is a reversible leopard print, you can switch your look up halfway through the day, whilst saving your head from the sunshine.
A cross-body bag with a silver chain which keeps all your valuables super handy and safe whilst adding a fun accessory to the look.
And pink chunky trainers with black socks, keeping in the theme and the trainers added a subtle pop of colour to the black and white look.
This type of vintage dress is just a great staple for your wardrobe, it's so great to style for a casual outing, or a fancier dinner and it's such a good laying piece too.
The vintage slip is a St Michael's piece and I find that they have amazing pieces in a wide selection of sizes and fit my body shape really well, so if you're plus size I'd recommend St Michael's (old M&S) pieces for your wardrobe.
I've put together sandals, shorts, and a vest top, keeping it super simple and summery, then added this vintage dress over the top to give the look some structure and interest. I've kept the colours in the blue family to keep the look tied together.
Having pieces that can work in multiple ways is a great way to keep your wardrobe exciting. This dress is so versatile, it can be worn open over a simple outfit like this, or it can be worn as a dress, with or without a belt, it can be layered over the top with a jumper and worn as a skirt. The possibilities are endless!
This is a perfect spring or autumn-time thrift-shopping look (at least this is where I wore mine). I love pairing dark and lighter/paler colours together.
Pink and green are always a good combination; bringing in a white tee adds more brightness to the look, then adding the leather jacket and dark sunglasses brings a bit more edge to it. It's all about balancing the girly and edge in this look.
PS, this could work in summer too, just take the jacket off!
Playing around with textures is always fun in a look, here, I've paired a print wrap skirt with a leather jacket. The softness of the patterned skirt works well with the more tough leather, they're almost opposite but complement each other well.
I love this look so much, this skirt is one of my favourite pieces. It was a piece a friend picked out for me, but I didn't think the colour would suit me, but I bought it as I loved the colour and the pattern. It's one of my pieces I get complimented on so much. So here's your nudge to step outside your comfort zone today x
This is casual and comfy but elevated. It looks like you've thought about your outfit, but it is still super easy.
This look would be great with other pastel colours too. Keeping the colours more muted makes me feel that this is a very relaxed outfit.
This outfit would be great for going around the charity shops, having coffee with friends, the cinema. It also is a great outfit if you want to go out and eat a lot of food! It's not clingy at all, which is sometimes just the ticket!
This is a men's shirt, I love oversized shirts and blazers and I find that men's fit my body better. When wearing oversized clothes I don't want the clothes to be cinched at the waist or hug my figure. Men's clothes don't have this, they give straighter lines.
